A Little about PEI ... a Verdant Island Paradise

PEI is the smallest province in Canada having a population of 140,000. We receive up to a million visitors each year and have a healthy tourism industry. The island is quite agrarian and features rolling hills and green, grassy vistas. We have a long coastline due to our many inlets and other waterways and as a result there is a large amount of reasonably priced waterfront PEI real estate.

The PEI real estate market is a consistent performer. PEI real estate offers great opportunities to get into home ownership due to PEI real estate being some of the least expensive in the country. While the PEI real estate market affords the novice real estate purchaser an easy access stepping stone to owning real estate there are still many higher-end PEI real estate properties available.

You have found the impossible to find at a bargain price without the multi-million-dollar price tag. Prince Edward Island north shore Oceanfront Acreage with miles and miles of White Sandy Beach, Sand Dunes, and a quick walk to Canada’s newest National Park: Greenwich, just a few moments away featuring the world famous parabolic sand dunes, there are only three sets on the planet. The rich history of the region goes back thousands of years to when the Mi’kmaq were the first people living in the area. I recommend spending some time at the Greenwich National Park interpretive centre before going on the easy and pleasant walk to see the beautiful dunes. It really does add extra depth to the experience. Enjoy the long boardwalk across the pond, and coming out at the beach before the final few steps that brings you to the view of the other side of the dunes on a beautiful mid-summer day. Greenwich also features seasonal bathrooms, showers, and an observation tower. This 60 plus acre waterfront site includes a 100+ year old home built on the top of the hill. For over 30 years the vegetation along the shoreline dune has been allowed to restore itself, undisturbed. The beach can be accessed from either a narrow path through the natural vegetation or from Maclaren Road. Ideally this old home could be used year-round, as a cottage, or ideally the land would suite a large luxury waterfront estate or development. Some of the most impressive homes in PEI are located along this shore, and the beach is potentially one of the top ten beaches in Canada – reportedly: 7 Beaches to Discover in Prince Edward Island.
